We got to take a tour through some private backyard gardens in Venice today, mostly located in Dorsoduro.
My mom and brother came to Venice to visit me this weekend! Today I took them to Lido, one of the larger islands in the Venetian lagoon and the only one I know of that has cars. We rented bikes and rode them along the beach, stopping every so often just to sit, snack, and enjoy the sun. Here’s a pic of the little bro. :)
I guess you could call this a double exposure. Basically, since I was using a long shutter speed, I got this picture by moving the camera halfway through the exposure to get a second shot to overlay the first. (I covered the lens with my hand while moving the camera so it didn’t capture any of the motion.)
My friend Andrew and I went island-hopping to Murano and Burano while he was here last weekend, and we had a pretty delicious dinner of squid ink pasta and lasagna while on Burano. I don’t eat out too often here because I usually cook to conserve funds, so photo documentation was necessary.
